Interparliamentary Friendship Groups
Interparliamentary friendship groups bring together parliamentarians to strengthen relationships with counterparts in other countries. They provide a forum for dialogue, cultural exchange and cooperation on shared priorities, outside of formal diplomatic channels. These groups help build mutual understanding, support Canada’s international relationships and create opportunities for collaboration on global issues. These groups do not receive administrative or financial support from the Parliament of Canada.
Senator Martin is the Senate Co-Chair of the following Friendship Groups:
